We still have one opening in our January departure to Pira, the best Dorado Lodge in Northen Argentina. The fishing takes place in the Ibera Marshland, which is home to over 350 species of birds. It is an incredible place to explore and in my opinion, Pira offers the best of all worlds- incredible fishing along with all of the wildlife and birds that the marsh offers. We fish from Hells Bay in shallow water skiffs and a lot of the fishing is sight fishing to what is one of the most aggressive and beautiful fish you will ever cast a fly to. Dorado are hard fighting and love to jump. This past month there have been record catches reported and many double digit fish landed. Day time temperatures run into the low nineties so it’s a great place to get out of our cold winter temperatures here at home.
Unfortunately, my good friend Ron Tanawaki has a medical issue and had to cancel. Ron has visited Pira before and was looking forward to returning . I am really going to miss his company especially since Ron was my fishing partner. So if your interested, call Hank Ingram at Frontiers 1 800 245 1950 and spend a week with me at Pira. As far as gear goes, I will provide everything our boat needs. Bring some tropical clothes and just show up- I will take care of the rest. You will have your own private room and fish with me.
