Join me at Jetu’u Lodge in northern Argentina and trade January’s cold temperatures for warm weather and incredible fly fishing in the tropical maze of the famous Ysoro Wetlands.
The lodge is a comfortable, log-style estancia situated right on the waterfront. Golden Dorado have become one of my favorite species to chase with a fly rod. They fight hard, leap and acrobatically explode on a fly, rivaling the excitement of hooking a tarpon!

Puerto Rico: Baby Tarpon and Permit in February!
Some of the best baby tarpon fishing in the United States may be found in Puerto Rico, and we’re heading there in February 2027 for a week of chasing tarpon and permit.
I hosted a group of friends here last February, and this destination has tremendous potential for anglers looking for an exciting tarpon and permit adventure. If you’re looking to escape the winter cold and spend a week chasing hard-fighting fish in the tropics, this is a trip worth considering!
