Whenever possible, we visit Tres Valles twice a year. Once in their early season (December) and a secon time for their late summer/early fall season (March). The fishing and the weather is pretty much the same on both trips and we find that once a year to this special place is not enough.  We think you will agree. This departure often dovetails nicely with a second Patagonia destination if one week in Patagonia simply isn't enough! Let's talk.

We've been bragging about Tres Valles for years and many of you know what a very special place it is. I don't know of another single destination that offers the variety of fishing that one can find in the Esquel region and notably from Tres Valles Estancia.  We've always said that there is more fishing in this region than one could explore in a lifetime - and after all these years, we still stand by that adage.

Talk about the road less traveled and you must think of Tres Valles, Argentina. You may not meet another car for the last hour or more. Chances are pretty good though of meeting a horse. As you begin to wind your way back into the foothills of the Andes, you'll be thinking that this is some of the most beautiful country you've ever seen. And just when you think it can't get any prettier you'll start to catch glimpses of water and soon Lago Tres Valles comes into view with snow-capped Andes as a back drop and you'll be speechless.

Tres Valles Estancia is a major cattle operation on the outside, but “back by the lake” is a beautiful modern fly fishing lodge with an excellent staff of guides, superb fishing, wonderful accommodations and dining. Here you will find more fishing than you can get to in a week, a year, maybe a lifetime. Fish different rivers, streams, and spring creeks everyday. There is fishing in every direction from the lodge and anglers will find the fish hungry and willing to eat dries, nymphs, and streamers.
