Fishpond to Donate to American Rivers
To celebrate their partnership with American Rivers, Fishpond has created a brand new, special edition Nomad River Armor Mid-Length Net, featuring a topographic display of the Colorado River (it could be any river anywhere...). Warmwater
Warmwater, not warm water, warmwater. Your spellchecker will choke on it, but we all know the term. Not saltwater. Warmwater – as in Pike, Musky, Largemouth, Smallmouth. These species have loyal followers. If you're like me though, you may have fished for small or largemouth in your local stream or lake, but fewer of us know much about pike & musky. Here's an interesting short take on each, and of course, the best gear to use for each. I love the way it's written, makes me want to try my hand!
We had a group at Turneffe Flats Lodge, Belize, last week. Beautiful weather, but the hurricane had gone through 4 days before our arrival. Lots of trees down and some structural damage in town, but other than a lot of cleanup and dock repair, the lodge looked as good as ever. We'll have some photos for you next week.
Here at home last night was our first snowfall. About three inches of heavy wet snow. This one won't last, but it's a sign of what's to come.
