South Island, New Zealand February 3-18, 2014
Zane Grey described New Zealand as an "Angler's Eldorado". He was right. New Zealand has developed a reputation for having the best sight fishing to big brown trout of any place on the planet. Hunting and stalking these big fish in gin-clear water on small and large rivers demands that the Kiwi fishing guides be some of the best in the world, and you'll see that they are indeed. For the angler, you may only get one (sometimes two, sometimes more) casts to a fish so it must be good and accurate. But don't worry, the guide will be coaching you through the challenge and when that beautiful 10 lb. wild brown taken on a foam beetle is cradled in the net, it's one of the best feelings ever! Come see for yourself. We'll visit two exceptional lodges. Anglers can do the entire itinerary or a shorter version.
$4,500- $8,500 per person, double occupancy, depending on itinerary chosen.
