Fly fishing is what we do here, it's what we've been doing for more than 30 years. We understand that what you are looking for may be different from the next person, or family, or group – so we offer options in programs that will hopefully be exactly what you have in mind. Please browse through the options below, there are many, and do not hesitate to contact us with any questions you may have. We will be as flexible as possible and look forward to having you visit and fish with us.

Private Instruction
Struggling with double haul? Need to get some distance on your cast or improve your presentation? Thinking 0017 lesson 2015of saltwater, or maybe just taking up the sport? We can help you with any aspect of fly casting. Come for a couple hours of private lessons tailored to specific requests or start from the beginning. If you’re a new angler, we will cover casting, shooting line, roll casts, presentation and retrieving. After that we’ll move to the pond for hooking, fighting, landing and releasing fish. For new anglers we suggest 3 hours of instruction. If you’re coming to improve your cast or to learn a new technique such as double haul, extending your cast, or better presentation, come for one or two hours.

The cost is $60 per person per hour. If you have your own tackle, we suggest an 8-1/2’ or 9’ rod with a #5 line, unless your interest is in bigger rods. Participants should wear shoes suitable for wet grass and ponds. Bring a jacket, raincoat, cap, and polarized sunglasses.

Guiding
This program is designed for the moderate to experienced angler. Fishing Creek, our home stream in northeastern Pennsylvania, is a lovely freestone trout stream that offers some incredible fly fishing opportunities.

Our private water boasts a healthy population of big fish - you’ll be surprised at the number, size, and condition of the fish. The originally stocked fish are now as wary and selective as the wild fish and just a beautiful.

The managed water is strictly catch and release, no-kill, fly fishing only, and carefully regulated to assure anglers of a quality experience on one of the coldest freestone trout streams in Pennsylvania. As with all freestone steams, our best fishing is April, May, June & October.

Ira 0109Our guides are also instructors and have worked with us for many years. They are professionals and are very good at what they do. Whatever your skill level is, you will benefit from spending a guided day on our stream.

When working with less experienced anglers, your guide will explain fly selection, positions, presentation, knots, and leader construction. Ask questions as they will be your tutor for the day. The experienced angler can have as much or as little assistance as he wishes.

If possible, we suggest coming on a weekday as there are fewer anglers on the water and the guides can show you more water and move around freely. But more importantly, come whenever you can. We’re quite sure you’ll be impressed with the stream and the fish.

Guide Shots 006Guided fishing days are 9:00-5:00. Lunch is included. $395 for one person, $450 for two. Independent fishing can be arranged for the evening if desired at no extra cost. Fishing gear is available, if needed, at no charge. PA Fishing License with trout stamp and guide tips are not included.

For reservations and availability please call 570-925-2392. We are located 5 miles north of Benton, PA, or about 16 miles north of I-80 at the Bloomsburg/Lightstreet exit (#236). We are less than 3 hours north of Philadelphia and 3 hours west of NYC.
